How do I get a Green1040 MasterCard® card?
You can get a Green1040 MasterCard here or from your tax preparer.
What if my tax preparer does not offer Green1040?
If your tax preparer does not offer Green1040, tell them to contact us at solutions@green1040.com and we can have them up and running in a couple days.

Receiving Refunds

How soon after I receive my Green1040 MasterCard can I receive my refund?
Your Green1040 MasterCard is able to receive money immediately. Even if your card is still in the mail, you can already use your account information to receive your tax refund. For information regarding when the IRS sends out tax refunds, please see the IRS Refund Schedule.
How much can I receive to my Green1040 MasterCard?
The maximum deposit amount is $9,500.00.
How much money can I have on my Green1040 MasterCard?
The maximum balance is 9,500.00.

Receiving Pay from My Employer

Why should I receive my paycheck by direct deposit?
Receiving direct deposit instead of a paper check allows you to:
  1. Receive your pay regardless of where you are
  2. Eliminate check cashing fees
  3. Keep your money safely on your card instead of carrying cash
  4. Pay your bills over the phone or online with your Green1040 MasterCard
How can I have my paycheck direct deposited to my card?
Contact your employer to see if they offer direct deposit (most employers do). When your card arrives, the reverse side of the page that the card is attached to contains a direct deposit authorization form. Fill it out and take it to your employer. You can also find this form by logging in to your Green1040 account.

Loading My Green1040 MasterCard

How can I load my Card?
You can load your card:
  1. With your tax refund
  2. With direct deposit of your paycheck
  3. With cash by visiting a Western Union loading location. To find a Western Union location near you, click here.

Using My Green1040 MasterCard

Are there any limits when using my card?
For your safety you can withdraw up to $500.00 in cash per day and make purchases up to $1,500.00 per day.
Will my card have my name on it?
Yes, the card you will receive in the mail will be personalized with your name on it.

Security

What happens if I lose my card?
If you lose your card contact us immediately. If you contact us within 24 hours you will not lose any money. In any case, the most you can lose is $50.00.
Is the money on my card insured?
First California Bank is a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation ("FDIC") and all cardholder funds are insured by the FDIC in accordance with the FDIC's applicable terms and conditions.
