Getting Started

What is a Tax Refund Card?
A Tax Refund Card is a debit card that is tied to a bank account number, which can be used to direct deposit tax refunds directly to the card.
What are the requirements for getting started?
You must have a registered business in the United States.
What information do I need to provide?
In order to register your business with Green1040 you must provide us:
  1. A signed and notarized application
  2. Your business’ Tax ID
  3. The names of the owners
  4. Picture ID for the owners
  5. A copy of a company bill showing the address of the company
Are there any fees to get started?
There is a nominal setup fee of $199.00
How do I get Green1040 cards?
Once your application is approved, you have two options available:
  1. Order cards from Green1040 in bulk. Keep the cards at your office and hand them to your customers
  2. or
  3. Green1040 can mail the cards directly to your customers
How many cards can I order?
You can order as many cards as you need but the minimum order is 50 cards.
How do I pay for Green1040?
We accept checks, credit cards or wire transfer.


Enrolling Customers

How do I enroll customers?
Customers are enrolled using the Green1040 website.
  1. Login to the Green1040 website with your username and password.
  2. You can then enter the customer’s information and upload a copy of his/her picture ID
  3. If you have Green1040 cards at your office, give the customer a Green1040 card and enter the card number in the system. Otherwise, the card will be mailed by Green1040 directly to the customer. The Green1040 system will instantly provide the account and routing number.
  4. Provide the account and routing number to the IRS.
What do I need to enroll customers?
You will need a computer and Internet access to enroll customers.
What information do my customers need to provide?
All persons receiving a Green1040 card must provide:
  1. Full Name
  2. SSN
  3. Address
  4. Telephone number or email address
  5. A copy of a picture ID


Receiving Refunds

When can my customers receive a refund to the Green1040 card?
The Green1040 card can be used to receive funds as soon as you register to it to the customer.
Is there a limit on the size of the refund that can be received?
The maximum refund that can be deposited to the Green1040 card is $9,999.00

Is there a setup fee?
There is a nominal setup fee of $199.00
